Kanon Festival case study

Summary

This international arts event lacked an official name, logo, identity/branding, and website.

The Process

The first step was to conduct a client interview to better understand what the client needed in a website.

The design team then mapped out the information architecture to clearly define where users will find information.

I worked with the art director and came up with a logo that had an industrial feel.

Once the logo was set, I began to tackle the banner and the look and feel of the website using Illustrator. The white border is reminiscent of a poster, while the striped banner background gives a festive feel to the site.

I then handcoded the stylesheets and content pages using XHTML.
