The gallery website was built with Microsoft Frontpage. The color palette, font choice, and non-use of the logo gave the site an unprofessional look.
To solve this problem, I incorporated the logo into a clean, consistent visual design to enforce branding and identity.
The foundation for any successful website begins with designing an information architecture so that the target audience can easily find the information they are looking for.
The next step is to design the content with wireframes to help visualize and organize the content of each page.
I then experimented with various color schemes and selected a neutral palette that allows the gallery images to stand out, as illustrated in the visual design comp.
Once the visual design was set, I began building the site by writing a master stylesheet, then I coded the content pages using XHTML.
